ALF Supply is the China sourcing services website operated by ALF Co., Ltd., a Wenzhou-based company supporting overseas buyers with supplier sourcing, verification, sample coordination, production follow-up, inspection and shipping coordination.
The work sits between an overseas buyer and Chinese suppliers: reading requirements, asking suppliers for missing details, comparing replies, following samples, checking production updates and preparing inspection points before shipment.
The founder’s role is best described as Digital Operations and Sourcing Project Coordinator. That matters because we do not want to invent a story about being a large buying office or a factory group. The service is organized around project records, supplier communication and practical checks. When a product point needs deeper judgment, we bring in a product person, engineer, foreign trade advisor or project-based inspection partner instead of guessing from a catalog photo.
What Buyers Should Know First
- We are not a factory and do not pretend to manufacture every product listed.
- A low quote is useful only after the included material, accessories, testing, packing, lead time and after-sales responsibility are clear.
- Our notes mark three groups: confirmed details, supplier statements still waiting for proof, and approval points the buyer must decide.
Daily Work
The useful work often happens before the order looks ready
A buyer may send one product photo, two supplier names, an old sample and a target price. That is enough to begin, but not enough to place a careful order. The missing points are usually small: material grade, carton strength, plug type, logo position, lock body size, sample color, spare parts or whether a test video used the buyer’s actual product.
Requirement sorting
We separate fixed requirements from preferences. A faucet body material, a smart lock app system or a machine voltage should be clear before supplier comparison becomes serious.
Supplier communication
We ask direct questions instead of forwarding only a product name. The supplier’s answer is recorded beside quotation notes, photos, sample plans and open issues.
Sample and revision records
We track sample version, buyer comments, supplier corrections and accepted details. If a supplier changes a component or finish later, the difference is easier to see.
Production follow-up
We follow order confirmation, material preparation, production updates, packing confirmation and inspection readiness so avoidable problems do not wait until the final week.

Some sourcing work needs one coordinator. Some needs a local factory visit, a person who knows the product, or an inspection partner who can take photos and check packing against the buyer’s notes. The mix depends on the product and the order stage.
Project coordination lead
Handles buyer communication, supplier questions, quotation notes, sample records and the running task list for the project.
Foreign trade advisor
Reviews export terms, supplier communication gaps, document wording and practical trade points when the project needs outside input.
Product person or engineer
Checks product-specific questions such as machine parameters, lock hardware, electrical details, faucet components or installation concerns.
Inspection partner
Visits a supplier or checks finished goods when the scope is agreed. This can include photos, quantity checks, packing review and visible function checks.

Our current product familiarity is practical, not unlimited. We are more useful in categories where supplier claims can be checked through specifications, samples, visible production details, packing records and inspection preparation.
- Faucets. Body material, cartridge brand, finish, salt spray requirement, hose set, leakage test and carton packing.
- Smart locks. Door thickness, lock body, opening direction, TTLock or Tuya use, fingerprint module, battery and backup key.
- Packaging machinery. Product size, packing material, target speed, voltage, air source, spare parts and test-run video.
- Eyewear, buttons and electrical items. Material, color, finish, logo method, market requirement, packing and sample consistency.
- Playground equipment. Site dimensions, age range, indoor or outdoor use, structure, installation plan, packing volume and container loading.
How We Keep Advice Grounded
We separate visible checks from supplier promises
For supplier checks, each record has a limit. A company registration file gives the registered name, address and status; it does not show how many workers are on the line or whether the supplier can keep the same output next month. A visit can photograph machines, benches, warehouse shelves and packing work on that day; it is still not an ISO audit. A shipment check can catch short quantity, wrong labels, weak cartons and visible defects, but it will not open every sealed lock or test every hidden component.
If a product point is outside our own reading, we take it to someone who deals with that product in real work before it goes into the buyer note. For example, a machine quotation may need a person who understands speed, film, voltage and trial material. A lock project may need someone to look at door thickness, lock body and app system. If the question belongs to a laboratory, lawyer, freight forwarder or certified engineer, we say that instead of stretching the sourcing role.

Service Boundaries
Clear limits make the sourcing work easier to trust
We would rather state the limits early than decorate a supplier file with confidence it has not earned. Some projects need laboratory testing, legal compliance review, certified engineering, freight responsibility or local installation support. Those jobs should be handled by the right specialist.
We do not chase the lowest number without checking what is included. A cheaper quotation may leave out material, accessories, testing, packing or after-sales responsibility.
No sourcing service can promise that every shipment will be perfect. We focus on records, sample control, production follow-up and inspection preparation to reduce avoidable risk.
Supplier checks help buyers avoid blind trust, but they do not prove every claim. Buyer approval, payment terms and order responsibility still matter.
Laboratory testing, legal compliance, freight liability and certified engineering are outside normal sourcing coordination unless separate specialists are appointed.

Questions buyers ask before working with ALF Supply
Are you a factory?
No. ALF Supply is a sourcing coordination service. We work with suppliers, project-based product contacts and inspection partners, but we do not present ourselves as the manufacturer.
Are you a trading company?
Our main work is not buying and reselling under a hidden margin. We help buyers compare suppliers, manage communication, record samples and follow production. The commercial model should be agreed before a project starts.
Why are you based in Wenzhou?
Wenzhou is useful for nearby supplier communication, sample collection and visits in selected categories such as locks, electrical items, eyewear, buttons and some building products. Projects in other Chinese cities can still be coordinated when the product details are clear.
Do you have full-time engineers and inspectors?
Not for every category. When a project needs engineering review, product judgment or inspection work, we use suitable project-based contacts and make that scope clear.
Can you handle products outside your listed categories?
You can send the details. We will first decide whether the product is close enough to our practical sourcing range. If it needs a specialist we cannot support properly, we will say so before starting supplier search.
What should I send first?
The first message can be rough: a photo or drawing, expected quantity, where the goods will be sold, material or packing rules, certificates already requested by your customer, budget range, deadline and any old supplier problem such as a rejected sample or weak cartons.
